High Point, NC (September 24, 2026) - Carolina Core FC announced today that the club has exercised its option on midfielder Seth Hammond for the 2027 season as the Foxes continue building their roster for the upcoming MLS NEXT Pro Sprint Season.
Hammond has provided Carolina Core FC with energy and attacking versatility throughout the 2026 campaign. Through 15 appearances, he has made 10 starts and logged 911 minutes while recording one goal and two assists.
“Seth was identified after a standout stint in USL League Two, where he established himself as one of the top attacking players,” said Carolina Core FC Head Coach Jake Davis. “When we recruited him, we knew he had the ability to impact games at the MLS NEXT Pro level, and he has shown that in the opportunities he has had with Carolina Core.”

During his time with the Foxes, Hammond has continued to develop within the professional environment while contributing to the club’s identity both on and off the field. His return provides Carolina Core FC with additional continuity as the club prepares for the next stage of its roster build.
The option extension keeps Hammond with Carolina Core FC for the 2027 MLS NEXT Pro Sprint Season as the Foxes continue assembling a group built around competitiveness, versatility and long-term development.
